Yoko Moriya Stetson オペラ講師・文化企画プロデューサー。Culture consultant
イギリス留学後、マリオットホテルや英国の名門レストラン Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons にてオペライベントをプロデュース。著名人へのプライベート・オペラアドバイザーやコラム執筆を行い、長年にわたり“観客目線”からオペラの魅力を伝えてきました。
その後アメリカへ移住。ニューヨークでは教育部門ディレクターや大手日系メディアのコンサルタントを務め、ブロードウェイやライブエンタメの分野にも携わりました。また、公立小学校に音楽教育を導入する活動や、家族向けオペラカンパニー “The Big Idea Opera Company” を設立・プロデュース。学校や地域コミュニティを巡演し、次世代への芸術継承にも力を注いできました。
現在はオンライン講座 「An Introduction to the Opera」 を主宰し、「オペラを知って人生100倍楽しむ！」をモットーに活動。
さらにオースティンに拠点を移してからは、Austin Opera とも協働し、講座やトークイベントなどを通じて地域の観客層拡大や文化交流にも取り組んでいます。
拠点はニューヨークとテキサス。シーズン中は行き来しながら、講座・企画を展開中。
オペラ以外の音楽も大好きで、R&Bからロック、80年代ポップス、そして最近はK-popまで幅広く聴きます。
母であり妻であり、そして田舎暮らしではニワトリの世話係。人生も音楽も“オールジャンル”で楽しんでいます。

Bringing opera closer, making life richer.
Yoko Moriya Stetson :
Opera lecturer & cultural event producer.
After studying in the UK, I produced opera events at venues such as the Marriott Hotel and the renowned Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons. I also worked as a private opera knowledge advisor for distinguished clients and wrote opera columns, always focusing on sharing opera from the audience’s perspective.
Later, I moved to the United States. In New York, I served as Director of Education for a regional opera company and worked as a consultant for a major Japanese media corporation, engaging with both Broadway and the live entertainment industry. I also spearheaded a campaign to introduce music education into public schools and went on to establish The Big Idea Opera Company, a family-friendly opera company that toured schools and community centers to inspire the next generation of audiences.
Today, I lead the online program “An Introduction to the Opera”, guided by the motto “Know opera, enjoy life a hundred times more!”.
Since relocating to Texas, I have also collaborated with Austin Opera, presenting lectures and talks that help expand audiences and foster cultural exchange.
I divide my time between New York and Texas during opera season, continuing to develop courses and cultural programs. Beyond opera, I love all kinds of music—from R&B and classic rock to ’80s pop, and more recently, BTS. Offstage, I’m a mother, a wife, and even a proud backyard chicken keeper. Life, like music, is best enjoyed in every genre.
